I've already informed many of you of my desire to get something together for Super Bowl Sunday and, as long as people want to go, it is still on. I've gotten to most of the Drama peeps, but it doesn't hurt if you guys spread the word. All who want to come are welcome and I will never shunt someone out of it. With that out of the way, let's get to the nitty-gritty...
Okay, maybe not, but this is a general overview of the festivities. I'm going to set the time at 12 N to whenever you feel like leaving. No, I'm not going to force you to watch the Super Bowl but I do have a fifty-inch TV and it would be a shame to let it go to waste. On that note, we can play the Wii on it, so those that have wii-motes should bring them and a game or two. On a side note, I have DDR and two mats. Just saying. On the food side of things, I'm going the potluck route excluding a pizza or two that I can make. Directions to my house will be provided one way or another and I don't seeing it posing too much of a problem. What I do see as a problem is parking space. I know my driveway/yard can hold many a car but it would be appreciated if you could carpool as much as possible. Cool, cool. Any questions?

Triumph
We did it. Congratulations to all those involved. Especially Albie, JenDens, and Sara for bringing the visions to the table, and to all the others for bringing those visions to life. Let's bring the energy and the excitement with us to Alexandria this Saturday so we can watch hard work pay off again. Let's show them all what Brainerd can do.

Practice
So yesturday at practice, Jen thought of a game. It was dubbed, "Be bigger than Jace". A few laughs here and there, basically good times all around. Then it was Pats turn for a face off. The line that we had to say was, "I'll never betray Don Poppy". Well Pat started out, I got bigger, Then he got a little bigger, then I got bigger yet by adding enthusiasm by grabbing Pats Shirt. Pat got up saying, "Ohh I can top that". So he got bigger and also added enthusiam by grabbing my shirt, but forgetting to let go, he ripped it to shreds in front of everyone...yes you hear me correctly, the fat flied. So no hard feelings and it was also pretty damn funny. It's one of those moments that you look back on and laugh at. That was story time with Jace Crowe and Good night. Ohh also I want to give you this Pic of my nephew it's great.

addison
9-8: The writers of these well ordered essays prove themselves astute readers of the satire passage. obviously appreciative of Addison's wit, they persuasively convey his skill in creating a diarist whose habit of daily notations marks the triviality of his own humdrum life as well as the superficiality of the society with which he is associated. these writers identify with clarity and precision several of the ways that Addison uses language to characterize the diarist and his society, and they illustrate these strategies by means of apt and specific reference to the excerpt. Further, they underscore the implication of these characterizations by providing a convincing explanation of Addison's satiric purpose. Has very few mistakes.
7-6: they are not as well developed as the 9-8's. They may lack some analysis, and the students may be unsure of the satire. May have more mistakes.
5: They know satire is present, but can not find it. Does not understand the characterization of Addison, or his society. Analysis is vague. Not written very well.
4-3: summary or paraphrase.
2-1: Everything is awful.
